Using standards as the anchor, define the technical baseline for marine permanent-magnet motors.

As a core player in China’s marine shaft-mounted permanent-magnet synchronous generator sector, Dalian Hongli Motor, leveraging more than a decade of technological expertise and engineering experience, has been invited to serve as a principal drafting organization for two key industry group standards, thereby translating its technical capabilities into industry-wide technical specifications.

I. Core Outcomes of Standard Drafting

“Marine Shaft-Driven Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator” ( T/CIET 2012-2025 ): This document clarifies the end-to-end technical requirements for shipboard shaft-mounted permanent-magnet synchronous generators, covering design, manufacturing, inspection, and delivery, thereby establishing a unified product technical baseline for the industry.

“Reliability Test Method for Shipboard Shaft-Through Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generators” ( T/CIET 2013-2025 ): A reliability assessment system tailored to the complex offshore operating conditions has been established, with refined key test metrics and methodologies for vibration, salt spray, temperature cycling, and other critical factors, thereby providing an authoritative basis for product reliability verification.

II. Technical Contributions and Industry Value

Participating in the development of industry standards signifies that our company’s technical solutions, testing systems, and engineering expertise in the field of marine permanent-magnet synchronous generators have become core benchmarks for the industry. We are translating our practical experience in the marine propulsion sector into reusable technical specifications, thereby driving the Chinese marine permanent-magnet motor industry from The shift from “product competition” to “standards competition” provides shipowners, design institutes, and system integrators with a clear basis for technology selection and quality assessment, effectively reducing selection risks and ensuring the long-term stable operation of marine propulsion systems.

III. Future Prospects

We will continue to regard technological innovation as the core driving force, actively participate in the development and revision of more industry standards, and work closely with partners across the upstream and downstream segments of the value chain to co-create safer, more efficient, and more reliable marine propulsion systems, thereby supporting the transformation of China’s shipbuilding industry toward higher-end, smarter, and greener operations.
